ringd.py - what is it?
A simple python program to listen to a modem for a certain minimum and maximum
number of telephone rings, or two single rings spaced a certain time apart. It then initiates a net connection (or some other
command). There are a range of configurable parameters in an .ini file.
The program is released under the GPL 'as is'.
The program was developed with Python 1.5.2 on RedHat Linux 7.0.
The program was inspired by the perl program ringd Ring Daemon
